Le congr\u00e8s a \u00e9galement attir\u00e9 l\u2019attention internationale sur le travail de l\u2019UIA en mati\u00e8re de protection et de soutien aux juristes qui font l\u2019objet de pers\u00e9cutions lors de la repr\u00e9sentation de leurs clients.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"h3\">L\u2019histoire<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Selon Jacqueline Bart, l\u2019organisation du 61<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">e<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0Congr\u00e8s annuel de l\u2019UIA \u00e0 Toronto constituait pour des juristes du Canada une occasion de se rencontrer et d\u2019\u00e9tablir des relations avec des juristes du monde entier qui n\u2019auraient peut-\u00eatre pas la possibilit\u00e9 de se conna\u00eetre autrement. Elle \u00e9tait particuli\u00e8rement enthousiaste par rapport aux discussions que le congr\u00e8s apporterait \u00e0 la ville et \u00e0 l\u2019accent mis par l\u2019UIA sur la protection et le soutien des juristes victimes de pers\u00e9cutions lors de la repr\u00e9sentation de leurs clients. Elle \u00e9tait \u00e9galement fi\u00e8re de montrer Toronto \u00e0 des d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9s internationaux. Elle a mis en relief les mus\u00e9es et galeries d\u2019art, l\u2019op\u00e9ra et la compagnie de ballet de la ville comme des attraits culturels qui donneraient aux participants la chance d\u2019explorer Toronto une fois le congr\u00e8s
